Artists across Sidmouth and the Otter Valley prepare to open their studios this NovemberA new exciting community art trail is taking shape across Sidmouth and the Otter Valley this November, bringing together local artists and makers for a free weekend of creativity, conversation and discovery.
Visitors will be able to discover a variety of creative practices, from painting and printmaking to ceramics, textiles and other handmade work. There will be no entrance fee and no set route — visitors can simply choose which studios they would like to visit and explore at their own pace.
A trail map and passport will be available to help visitors find their way, with each artist adding their own welcoming touch at each stop. There might be a mince pie, a hot chocolate, a demonstration or simply the opportunity for a chat about the work. Collect 5 stamps along the way to be entered into a free draw for the trail collection.
The artists hope that the weekend will be the beginning of an ongoing local creative community event, with future seasonal trails potentially following.
