🎄 Christmas Cheers for Charity 🎄Thursday 10 December | The Bull & Swan
Join us for an evening of festive fun, good company and a great cause.
At the start of this year, my wonderful Dad had two major ischaemic strokes, and the incredible team at Addenbrooke’s saved his life not once, but twice. A key reason they could was mechanical thrombectomy, a procedure now available at just 24 specialist stroke centres across England, serving around 120 acute hospital trusts. The Stroke Association has campaigned for better stroke care and access to treatment like this, but there is still a long way to go. Not every centre offers thrombectomy around the clock, and many people live too far from one. My goal is that one day no son or daughter will have to worry that their parent can’t get life-saving treatment simply because of distance or postcode.
And that's the reason I’ve pushed myself to take on 26.2 miles running the London Marathon in April 2027 for The Stroke Association. My fundraising goal is £20,000, and this night is our first big step towards it.
What to expect
An evening of festive cheer with friends, family and the local community, all coming together to kick off the Christmas season and raise money for a brilliant charity. Every ticket sold goes towards getting me to that finish line, and to making a real difference for people affected by stroke.
Spaces are limited to 100 guests, so don’t leave it too late.
