🐦 Grab your binoculars and join the City of Westfield's Parks and Recreation Department for a morning of birding! Whether you're an experienced birder or have never picked up a pair of binoculars, this free program is a great way to explore Westfield's newly completed Simon Moon Park and neighboring Midland Trace Trail.🦅 This free program is for anyone ages 12 and over, and participants will receive a brief introduction to birding and helpful birding apps before heading out on an approximately 2-mile guided walk along the Midland Trace Trail and through Simon Moon Park and Grand Junction Plaza. Along the way, we'll identify and count the birds we see and hear!
🦆 Participants should dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Binoculars are encouraged if you have them!
🚗 Parking is available at Simon Moon Park near the playground. Participants should arrive by 9:45 a.m. and the program will begin at the Outdoor Education Pavilion at Simon Moon Park.
