About this Event
(A Christmas Thank You from JazzBuffalo
The Jazz Lounge has given us some wonderful evenings this year—filled rooms, memorable music, and people coming together to enjoy jazz in one of Buffalo's most distinctive settings.
As we get ready for our final Jazz Lounge evening of 2026, we simply want to say thank you.
So we're making tickets for Christmas at The Jazz Lounge just $15.
It's our Christmas thank you to the JazzBuffalo community—and an invitation to bring a friend, make it a date night, gather a few people around a table, and spend a December evening together at The Statler.
Enjoy a cocktail. Share a dance. Hear the timeless songs of Christmas. And give yourself a couple of hours to slow down and enjoy the season.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is something about Christmas that makes us want to slow down, gather with friends, raise a glass, hear the songs we love, and enjoy being together.
On December 17, we're bringing all of that together for Christmas at The Jazz Lounge.
For one special evening, the historic Rendezvous Room at The Statler becomes the setting for a Christmas night out filled with live jazz, cocktails, conversation, dancing, and the timeless holiday songs that have accompanied generations.
If you've experienced The Jazz Lounge before, you know these evenings are about much more than coming to hear a concert.
It's the room.
The tables filled with friends. The glow of the historic Statler. A cocktail in hand. Music just a few feet away. The conversations between songs. And when the music starts to swing, perhaps getting up and sharing a dance.
That's The Jazz Lounge. And at Christmas, we think it becomes something even more special.
At the center of the evening will be the music of the Great American Christmas Songbook—songs like Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, The Christmas Song, White Christmas, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Winter Wonderland, and Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
These aren't simply holiday songs. They're part of our memories of Christmas—songs made timeless by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Bing Crosby, and passed from one generation to the next.
Bringing those songs to life will be one of Western New York's exciting young jazz voices, Vanessa Vacanti, joined by an ensemble of outstanding musicians.
Vanessa brings exactly the kind of warmth this evening calls for. She's a gifted storyteller with a natural ability to connect with an audience, swing a song, and make familiar music feel fresh again. Named the 2024 JazzBuffalo Poll Rising Star, she has performed at jazz festivals throughout New York State and in jazz clubs in Rome and Bologna, while studying with acclaimed jazz vocalist Nancy Kelly and training with Kim Nazarian of New York Voices.
But this night isn't about résumés.
It's about how Christmas feels when the lights are low, the music is playing, and you're sharing the evening with people you enjoy.
Expect moments that are intimate and romantic. Songs that swing. Music you'll recognize within the first few notes. And plenty of opportunities to leave your table and take a turn on the dance floor.
Come with friends.
Make it a date night.
Dress up a little if the mood strikes you.
Order a cocktail, settle into the room, and give yourself a couple of hours away from the rush of December.
Because sometimes the best part of the holiday season isn't another thing to get done.
It's having a reason to spend time together.
And that's exactly what we want Christmas at The Jazz Lounge to be.
