Celebrate a teddy bear's first Christmas at Greenway this festive season, as new residents come to stay. It's December 1940 and Agatha Christie has packed her bags and gone to London. She's left Greenway in the care of a small group of teddy bears and the evacuee children who own them, to spend their first Christmas in Devon.
In the style of 'make do and mend', explore brightly coloured twinkling trees and cosy rooms, trimmed with handcrafted decorations and traditions from a festive wartime.
Outside there's a fun family friendly teddy bear trail through the winter garden, and admire the giant crocheted Christmas tree for Greenway's Big Christmas Stitch Up.
Warm up after in the Barn Café with decadent hot chocolates and festive treats, and browse the gift shop for tasty tipples, stocking-fillers or something special to put under the tree.
Christmas at Greenway is open 11am-4pm on weekends from 21 November to 20 December, and daily 27-31 December. Normal admissions apply.
Visiting Greenway by car? You'll need to book a parking space in advance through the website.
