**After taking a week off on October 4 due to the Walk to Emmaus weekend, we're back in the Conference Room for Sunday school**Peace Tree's Sunday school class is meeting in the conference room this fall and using the book "Christianity's Family Tree" by Rev. Adam Hamilton for their study and conversation.
Adam Hamilton presents a welcoming, inspiring vision of eight Christian denominations and faith traditions. Comparing the Christian family to our own extended families, he contends that each denomination has a unique, valuable perspective to offer on the Christian faith.
The traditions he examines are Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, Anglicanism, Baptists, Pentecostalism, and Methodism.
For each group, Hamilton gives a brief history, outlines major beliefs, and describes some things we can learn from that tradition to strengthen our own Christian faith.
Peace Tree Sunday school meets in the conference room (Room 24) at 9:00am.
Sunday school participants requiring childcare during the Sunday school hour are encouraged to email [email protected] by Thursday afternoon.
