CHORA NOVA and MOZART TO MENDELSSOHN Orchestra team up to present a joint concert of fabulous choral/orchestral works!
Especially exciting is the US premiere of Anton Reicha's grand setting of the Te Deum, written 200 years ago! Reicha was friends with Beethoven, whose music we also perform, along with two works by Mendelssohn. Both Beethoven and Mendelssohn wrote music based on two poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ("Calm Sea" and "Prosperous Voyage") - and we perform them both on this program!
