✨CHOOSING OUR OWN NARRATIVES✨How much of the way we describe our lives is actually ours?
We often speak about our lives using phrases that feel completely natural:
“I’m falling in love.”
“Hard work.”
“I’m so busy.”
“A successful businessman”
“I’m getting older.”
“We need to keep fighting"
But where did these ways of describing our experiences come from?
Language doesn't simply describe the world around us. It also shapes the way we see and experience it. And many of the stories we use to make sense of our lives have already been written for us — by our families, cultures, societies, media, workplaces, and the people around us.
💛 What if we could choose our own words?
What if, instead of automatically “falling in love,” we found our own way of describing what happens when we become deeply connected to another person?
What if I could describe a rich, eventful life without saying "I'm busy"
What does “success” actually mean to you, beyond the definition you've inherited?
What happens when we stop using familiar labels and start looking for language that more accurately captures our own experience?
In this workshop, we'll explore how established narratives shape how we communicate—and experiment with finding our own voice and vocabulary to describe both our inner world and the world around us.
Through reflection, conversation and playful communication exercises, we'll ask:
✨ Which stories am I repeating without questioning?
✨ Which words no longer describe my experience?
✨ What would I say if I didn't have to use the language I've inherited?
✨ How can I communicate my experience in a way that feels genuinely mine?
Because authentic communication isn't only about speaking honestly.
It is also about finding the words that are truly your own.
Come and explore what happens when we stop accepting the default narrative — and start choosing our own.
💬 A NEW INSPIRAL SERIES: COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Communication is one of the most important skills we use every day — and yet very few of us are actually taught how to do it well.
That's why we're launching a new series of InSpiral Communication Skills workshops, exploring different aspects of communication through reflection, conversation, practical exercises and experimentation.
🌟 WHAT TO EXPECT
This is an interactive workshop, not a lecture.
There will be opportunities to reflect on your own communication style, discuss ideas with others and experiment with different ways of expressing yourself.
You don't need to be a communication expert.
You don't need to prepare anything.
And you certainly don't need to have authenticity figured out. 😉
Just bring yourself, your curiosity and an open mind.
