812 Royal Gallery proudly introduces Chloe McCarrick, whose bold cyanotypes explore the boundless possibilities of image reproduction to reinvent and further the legend of women who have shaped history. Born in Great Britain and based between London, Paris, and California, McCarrick calls upon her academic background to extensively research a wide variety of influential women before reflecting their essence through the intricate and laborious process of cyanotype printmaking. Her work explores the legacies of a wide variety of women- from inventor Marie Curie, to the Greek goddess Aphrodite, to giants of literature and art like Virginia Woolf and Beatrix Potter.
The process of homage, carefully built through intentional research and reference to archive, provides her works with a resonating authenticity and instills her practice with the same capacity for empowerment her subjects represent.
After a successful debut solo exhibition in Los Angeles, California, 812 Royal Gallery is proud to present the work of McCarrick in dialogue with the powerful legacies of femininity that shapes Southern culture. Join us on October 24th, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 to mark the addition of McCarrick's work to the gallery's curatorial vision.
