A fun & educational children's baking workshop, held at The Stores in Llanstefan, where children can experience hands on making, shaping and baking, from scratch. They will gather around Jamie's baking table with mixing bowls and ingredients in front of them. After washing their hands and getting their aprons on they will get hands on, mixing and creating fabulous creations under Jamie's guidance. The course lasts around 2 hours with a break in between for the children to grab a drink, or something from the shop!
They will learn what yeast is and what it does, what flour to use and why measurements and processes are important in baking. They will also gain an insight into what it actually takes to make bread, Just 4 ingredients and not the 15, 16 or more we see in factory made bread.
They will leave having had a fantastic time and with a handful of hand made, freshly baked goodies.
No minimum age, if they can hold their attention for an hour so then they will be fine. Jamie is extremely patient and guides each child individually, ensuring they get the attention and help they need.
Parents/carers/family members are welcome to stay and watch or they can take a seat in the bar/restaurant below the baking studio.
