Because George is an aging pet, he learns important tips about caring for him from Dr. Miller, the veterinarian, too. Stetson’s parents always model kindness and support, especially as he begins to grieve after the death of this first pet. A worksheet and a teacher and parent guide are also available.
About the author:
Kimberlye Joyce is a mother, an educator and a lifelong learner. Early in her career, she served as a speech and language pathologist for K-12 children in public schools addressing the needs of both diverse and special needs learners. She was also a leader serving children at her church directing bible school and children's choirs from pre-school age and beyond.
After a successful career as a speech and language pathologist, she completed additional graduate work to continue her educational career as an instructional designer developing educational and training materials for a wide range of adult learners around the world for leading higher education institutions, non-profit, and corporate clients. She has been an outstanding role model for her own children, those learners she has worked with attending both public and religious institutions, and adult learners in the corporate world.
