About this Event
You will be collaborating with other children and young people (aged 13 - 18yrs) on a weekly basis to help REDESIGN the children's mental health care system, (CAMHS).
This will be done in 3 phases:

Participants will be collaborating with other children, young people, parents, carers, teachers, youth workers, health professionals, senior decision makers in Public Health & the NHS to create a participatory Advisory Group* and explore how we might improve an area of the CAMHS service through the 5 weekly sessions.
The second phase involves a series of weekly collaborative sessions (starting with an intense 4 -day week 11.00am - 4.00pm from 27th - 30th August, and then weekly, every Tuesday 4.00pm - 7.00pm from September 3rd - 8th October ) with other children and young people to redesign an element of the CAMHS service that involves research, making and testing ideas through Speculative Design and Interactive Theatre techniques.
Towards the end of the project the young people will plan a high-profile community engagement gala event where they will showcase their designs, demonstrate their learning and perform their performance at Lambeth Town Hall on World Mental Health day 3pm - 8.00pm 10th October 2024.
