Want to make greener choices but not sure where to start? Or perhaps you are already making changes and would like to discover what else you can do?
Join Chichester City Council for Chichester in Action: One City, Greener Choices, a day of talks, screenings, conversations and activities designed to help residents discover practical ways to protect our environment and respond to climate change.
Talks and discussions
A programme of ticketed talks will take place in the Old Court Room throughout the day, covering a range of environmental topics, including:
- Sustainable eating
- Biodiversity
- Home retrofit
- City centre regeneration
- Community energy production

National Emergency Briefing
The Council Chamber will host two screenings of the National Emergency Briefing, which brings together information about the climate and nature emergency and what it could mean for our lives, economy and future.
Following each screening, there will be an opportunity to discuss the film, share thoughts and consider how individuals and communities can respond.

Explore our environmental marketplace
Drop into the Assembly Room throughout the day to meet community groups, local organisations and environmental initiatives.
The marketplace will include retrofit advisers, local authority initiatives, eco-focused organisations and Southern Water, which will be sharing information about its plans for the treatment works at Lavant.
It is a great opportunity to ask questions, find out what is happening locally and discover practical ideas that could help you make greener choices at home and in your community.
Join the conversation
We will also be creating an informal sitting room where visitors can take a seat and talk about their own journey towards reducing their carbon footprint.
No matter where you are on that journey, come and share your experiences, challenges and ideas with others.
