CHICAGO Live Wednesdays will host an open Balboa competition! No sign-up required. Be ready with your partner around 21:00.
Competition format: All-skate to 1 or 2 songs of live music from Tommy Löbel Swing Band.
Judges: JC and Xiao
CASH PRIZE!
The idea of this competition is to promote Balboa to the rest of the swing dance community. Even if you’re not an eager competitor, join the fun and support the cause.
If you don’t have a partner, you can try to find someone in the “Balboa Corner” (the deep right corner of the venue) during the first set of the band. The DJ will provide slightly faster music during the breaks — we aim to please!
Other than that, it’s a regular ”live” swing dance night at Chicago, with the same entrance procedures as usual.
Most welcome!
