The Portal is an artist-led live event series bringing together colorful creatives, organizers, and facilitators to play, share resources, and collaborate through various artistic expressions
This year, Chi-brations is inviting more play into the programming—creating space for connection, curiosity, and collective imagination through interactive media, live music, featured speakers, open jam sessions, vendors, and food. Each gathering is an opportunity to show up as you are, explore new ideas, and build community through art and shared experience.

Founded by Sam Thousand, Chi-brations is an artist-led media platform that uplifts performing artists across Greater Chicago, with a focus on communities of color. Their mission is to leverage technology to inspire collaboration, and explore socio-economic and creative solutions for our collective self.
