Our first Chess Club Waitomo meet is this Saturday!Join us for a chess fun morning on Saturday 17th October at the Te Kuiti Community House, from 9am to 11am.
Whether you've played for years or have never touched a chess piece, you are welcome. We'll have friendly games, plenty of people happy to teach the basics, and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone gets a game. Kids, teens, adults and seniors are all welcome, and you're welcome to just come along and watch.
This is the first of many. After Saturday we'll be meeting every 2nd Saturday, with more fun days, lessons and tournaments planned for the Waitomo community.
We are super excited to meet, play and connect with chess players from the local community.
Bring a friend, bring the family, or come on your own and make some new friends over the board.

Please bring your chess board and pieces along with you as I have not received boards I have ordered yet.
Koha at the door if you can spear some change, to help towards running cost.
