Join Sussex Sighthound Supporters at Chelwood Vachery in the Ashdown Forest. This is a lovely 2 mile loop from jubilee green in the village of Chelwood Gate that winds along woodland paths to the Vachery Forest Garden with its streams, pools, waterfalls and folly bridges.
This walk does have a couple of slopes on it but not the worst we have ever done. It’ll take about 1-1.5 hours and we’ll go at a leisurely pace.
High chance of mud (especially if it’s been rainy in the lead up) so wear appropriate footwear - trainers are probably not gonna cut it.
TIME
Setting off from jubilee green in Chelwood Gate at 10.30am.
CAR PARKING
Park on Beaconsfield Road by the village hall and gather on the green by the picnic benches (behind the hedge). There are no parking restrictions or charges but please park considerately as this is a residential area. Buses also pass along this road so mind the bus stop.
