About this Event
Glenn’s career has spanned hospitality, food and leadership, with storytelling now becoming an important part of how he reflects on and shares those experiences. It was this perspective, and his understanding of what restaurants and their people contribute to a city, that led Sam to invite him to write one of the forewords for Chefs Eat Brisbane.
Using the book as a jumping-off point, Sam and Glenn will discuss Brisbane’s evolving dining scene, what its restaurants reveal about the city at this moment in time and the relationships, personalities and experiences that exist beyond the plate.
They’ll also share stories from their own careers, the interesting places food and hospitality have taken them, and what they discovered when they began putting those experiences into print. Together, they’ll explore why these stories matter and what can be lost when the people, memories and moments behind our restaurants go undocumented.
A celebration of Brisbane hospitality, storytelling and the people who make a city worth eating in.
Books will be available for purchase, or bring your copy from home to be signed.
