CHARMING DISASTER
Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the M**der ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write songs that tell stories, using two voices to explore dark narratives and characters with a playfully macabre sensibility.

MISS DREADFUL
A quiet observer with a keen imagination, Miss Dreadful says more in a two-minute song than a two-hour conversation. The dark folk singer/songwriter weaves macabre tales of M**der and monsters, often sprinkled with a touch of dark humor. Her songs explore the sinister side of human nature, often featuring characters who deviate from normal conventions and commit extreme acts. Her horror-themed lyrics are reminiscent of artists like Harley Poe, Amigo the Devil, and Roky Erickson, while her sound draws influence from early to contemporary folk, blues, and punk. Miss Dreadful continues to write new music and perform at shows and festivals. In August 2025, she released her latest EP, Keep Me Warm at Night, a collection of songs recorded with Goodsoundwaves.
