For the Love of… Rapture: Celebrating 40 Years of Anita Baker’s Iconic Album

Forty years after Anita Baker released Rapture, Charm City Live Music presents For the Love of… Rapture an intimate live music experience celebrating the romance, musicianship, nostalgia, and enduring influence of one of R&B’s most beloved albums.
This isn’t a big-room tribute concert. With only 50 seats available, every guest gets to experience the music up close in the warm, intimate setting of Papillon’s Cocoon.
LuzCelenia & Frequency will perform all eight songs from Rapture, including “Sweet Love,” “Caught Up in the Rapture,” “Same Ole Love,” “You Bring Me Joy,” and “No One in the World” along with a carefully curated selection of songs connected to Anita Baker’s musical influence, legacy, and story.
Throughout two live sets, LuzCelenia will weave music and storytelling into a love letter to the songs that have accompanied our falling in love, making love, losing love and finding our way back to it.
What can you expect?
Think grown-folks R&B in an intimate speakeasy setting with only 50 people in the room.
Live musicians. Storytelling. Dinner and drinks. A little nostalgia. A few surprises. And the kind of songs that may have the entire room singing before the night is over.
For the Love of… is intentionally small. Rather than performing to hundreds of people from a distant stage, LuzCelenia & Frequency will share the music up close, with LuzCelenia moving throughout the room and bringing the experience beyond the stage.
For guests who want to be closest to the performance, only 8 Premium Reserved seats will be available with prime placement near the stage, along with exclusive inaugural-event gifts.
