We host this 5K to honor Charlotte's heart, both the one that loved everyone so deeply and the one thatfought until the very end. Charlotte was a twelve-year-old force of nature: loving, protective, and absolutely
fearless. In October 2023, during her favorite time of year, we lost her to a hidden genetic heart condition
(ARVD) that showed no early warning signs.
We ask the community to join us on October 31st as we carry her spirit forward, racing to raise awareness for
genetic heart disease so no other family has to go through this. Every participant gets a race shirt, and since
October is Charlotte's favorite time of year, costumes are welcome on race day too, another way to represent
her spirit.
All funds raised will help provide AED defibrillators to Glynn County venues that host youth sports and events. A portion of the proceeds
will also support Safe Harbor, giving our youth a safe place along with the tools and resources they need to grow and thrive.
Charlotte's Beat Lives On, Inc. is seeking corporate sponsors to help make this possible. Every sponsorship dollar goes toward putting
lifesaving equipment where our young athletes play and toward supporting our youth off the field, too, and your business will be
recognized as a partner in that mission all season long. Together, we can help protect our youth and strengthen our community.
