Note:
This adaptive music performance is being presented in a family friendly, inclusive environment that embraces neurodiversity and disability in collaboration with Xenia Concerts. How did music sound 200 years ago? Step into the intimate world of a 19th century drawing room and experience the piano as audiences once did, full of dreams, fantasy, and human connection. Performed on a historical piano, this immersive concert features beloved works by Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, Beethoven, Clara Schumann, and more. Audiences are invited to draw and respond creatively during the performance, making each concert a shared artistic experience. The evening is led by award winning fortepianist Charlotte Tang, a laureate of the 2024 Musica Antiqua Competition in Bruges and recipient of the 2025 Emerging Artist Award from Early Music America. Her research informed performances reveal colors, textures, and emotional nuance rarely heard today.
