Join us for the official opening of "Charles Macnamara: Arnprior's Citizen Scientist" — a new joint exhibition celebrating one of the community's most remarkable people. Presented in partnership by the Arnprior & McNab/Braeside Archives and the Arnprior + District Museum, the exhibition brings together photographs, archival materials and personal artifacts from both collections to explore Macnamara’s life, work and fascination with the natural world.
The public is invited to join us at the Arnprior + District Museum on Thursday, October 15 at 6:00 p.m. for an opening ceremony and to see the installation.
During the event, we will have short remarks from Laurie Dougherty, the exhibit's volunteer curator, Janis Hernández, AMBA's Archivist, and Emily Stovel, Manager of Culture and Curator with the Town of Arnprior.
Following the opening, visitors can see the exhibit anytime during the Museum’s opening hours, Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 – 4:00.
