Changá uses the Caribbean game of dominoes as a lens on how Dutch Caribbean communities create, express, and thrive within the Netherlands. From Hip Hop to Dancehall to Punk Rock and Drum and Bass, the film weaves Caribbean philosophy, rhythm, and cultural code into a meditation on diaspora, conviviality, and belonging.
Directors: Francio Guadeloupe and Manpreet Brar
Cinematography and Editing: Ian del Angel
Featuring: Juny Martina, Ray Fuego, Amy Miyu, Earthquake Brass Band
Runtime: 55 minutes | Dutch, English, Papiamentu
THE DOMINO EXPERIENCE
The morning closes at the table. Guests are invited into a live domino activation, designed as both art experience and cultural conversation, where the game becomes a shared language across the diaspora. The game is the medium. The table is the classroom.
