Books & Brunch is a monthly in-person event in the Mandel Literacy Hub that includes a tour of the new home of the Kids’ Book Bank and a brief presentation about what's new at the Kids' Book Bank over light refreshments.Join us on July 30 to meet Quartez Harris and Constance Bohanon, learn about our Books Like Me Campaign and why diversity in children’s literature is so important.
Local authors will also be on hand from 11am - 2pm, signing their books, with a portion of proceeds benefiting our Books Like Me Campaign.
Plus, learn about all the ways you can get involved with the Kids’ Book Bank and promoting literacy and book ownership in our community.
If you haven’t been to our new home, this is a great opportunity to visit. If you have, it’s a great opportunity to see what’s new and hear about plans for our 10th birthday year!
Attendees are invited to stay and volunteer as schedules permit.
