Tuesday 20 October 2026 CHANGED Indoor Talk – Hope for the Bumblebee by Simon Springate
As John Buckingham is still unwell and likely to remain so for a while, his wife Sue and I decided that it would be better to cancel his talk to us in October to take the pressure away from him.
I contacted Nikki Gammans to see if she could cover this date, 20th October, with an update on the great talk she did us on the Plight of the Bumblebee. However, I have had a reply from Simon Springate who is the Kent’s Plan Bee Project Officer to say that he would be able to cover 20th October 2026, and he will call his talk “Hope for the Bumblebee?” So, this will be a brief recap on what Nikki told us and the future plans for the Bee Project.
The talk will take place on Tuesday 20 October at Parkwood Green Community Centre, Gillingham. ME8 9PN. 7.30pm - 9.45pm. Doors open 7.00pm. Everyone welcome. Entry, pay at door, £4.00 each for members and £4.50 each for non-members. Including tea, coffee or squash during the interval
