About the Event
The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts presents the Chamber Music Series featuring Ice House Brass on December 13, 2026 from 3–5 PM in the Grand Hall of the museum.
The Ice House Brass Band of San Angelo, Texas, is comprised of regular people from the local area. They come from a wide array of backgrounds found throughout the community. Many of them are also members of the San Angelo Community Band.
The brass ensemble band was brought together in the tradition of 'turn-of-the-century' English Brass Bands, and their music of choice reflects that influence. But they don't draw the line there. One of their favorite places to play is Fort Concho, and they also enjoy playing many tunes in their selection of music from that period in history.
Music is Ice House Brass’s passion, and this is their way of sharing it with friends and neighbors. They’re always up for playing some tunes and having fun.
The Ice House Brass library includes music styles including baroque, classical, swing, jazz, Dixieland, popular, hymns, patriotic, German folk songs, spirituals, light opera, Christmas, humorous, and special occasion music for weddings, marches and fanfares.
