About this Event
Celebrate Canadian Finals Rodeo Week with an intimate evening of songs and stories connecting two sister cities through music.
Sister City Sessions brings Edmonton and Nashville together in the round at CKUA’s Beresh Arts Den, featuring Lillie Mae (Nashville), Joe Nolan (Edmonton), and Lucette (Edmonton) sharing the stage, trading songs, and telling the stories behind the music.
Come early, grab some barbecue, and settle in for the show!
THE ARTISTS:
Lillie Mae | Nashville
Edmonton got a taste of Lillie Mae this summer when she blew the roof off Commonwealth Stadium performing with Post Malone. Now, we’re thrilled to welcome her back for a much more intimate evening celebrating the musical connection between sister cities Edmonton and Nashville.
For Sister City Sessions, Lillie Mae is joined by her brother, singer and guitarist Frank Carter Rische, for a special duo performance. Frank grew up performing alongside Lillie Mae and their siblings in Nashville and most recently has been performing with East Nashville Grass.
Joe Nolan | Edmonton
A virtuoso guitarist, elusive poet, and musical chameleon, Joe Nolan is known for his scrappy solo shows and arresting stage presence. His songs can be fragile and fractured, yet winningly wistful.
Lucette | Edmonton
Lauren Gillis, professionally known as Lucette, is a Canadian alternative pop songwriter with a 15-year career spanning her own artist project, co-writing, and international publishing.
Lucette continues to create songs that connect through sharp storytelling, collaboration, and modern pop sensibility.
