When I listened to music as a kid, I would imagine the Beatles tucked inside the record player playing me a song. Nowhere man sitting by his purple piano and finding his way. When I perform, I want to completely immerse people. I want the worlds I build to feel as palpable as the feelings they are about. Performing is a way for me to escape as much as it is a way for me to confront my feelings head on. I want to take people with me.
We’re a psychedelic alt-country indie rock band. We’ve played all around the city and are recording our first album very very very very soon.
Hailing from Los Angeles and based in NYC, Summer Reid is a soul singer who weaves together sounds inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Yebba and Celeste to create stories about the world as she sees it. She uses her powerful voice to sing prose of grief, injustice, and the hope of love in her next single "Worries" out in late September.
