The Montgomery County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program is now accepting registration for the CERT Basic Course #26-02
Please read the following information and requirements CAREFULLY before you pre-register for the course .
In order to maximize class interaction, this course will be limited to the first 60 participants who register. Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
This course consists of 8 sessions: 4 Wednesdays and 4 Saturdays
This is a Hybrid Course. Online learning will take place Wednesday evenings October 14, 21, 28. The In-person portion will take place on Wednesday, November 4 and Saturdays October 17, 24, 31 and November 7 at Public Safety Headquarters 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD.
Participants who complete/participate in all 8 sessions will receive a Montgomery County CERT Basic Certificate.
We will be using the Zoom video conference platform for Wednesday sessions. We may also use other technologies to enhance the course. Therefore all participants need to have access to a laptop or tablet
The initial session is on October 14th and will include information for those new to the Zoom platform. However, we strongly recommend you download the zoom app and test it if you are new to the technology prior to the first class. There are also great resources you can access by visiting the .
After you pre-register, you will receive a separate confirmation email with the details of the class and the Zoom meeting links before the start of class.
If you have other members of your household who wish to attend, they must register separately. Note, this is an adult class and is more suitable for those 16+. All minors must have parental consent and participation.
Remember, class slots are limited. Therefore, please ensure that you can commit to the dates and times prior to registering for this class.
