After sharing one of my handmade ceramic shelves, I received so many messages asking if I would teach a workshop on how to make one — so here we are.Join me for an afternoon of clay and handbuilding as I guide you through creating your own sculptural ceramic wall shelf from start to finish.
We’ll explore organic shapes, texture, openings and negative space while learning the techniques needed to build a piece that is both sculptural and functional. There’s plenty of room to make it your own — no two shelves will look exactly alike.
Once fired, your shelf becomes a little home for whatever you love: collected objects, stones, candles, flowers, tiny treasures, or simply as a piece of art on its own.
No previous ceramic experience is needed. I’ll walk you through the entire process.
All clay, materials, glazing and firing are included.
Come get your hands in some clay and make something beautiful with me. 🤎
