About this Event
Due to its smooth pliable nature, porcelain is ideal for imprinting details such as veins and stems and can be stretched and rolled quite thinly and manipulated to create your leaf ornaments.
We will roll out porcelain clay and choose some suitable leaves to press into the clay. Real leaves will be available to imprint on our porcelain slabs, however students are welcome to bring your own assortment.
Heather will fire the ornaments at her home and glaze them with a flat oxide wash to highlight the details in the leaf sculpture. She will also offer students a choice of ribbon or hemp for hanging and return them to our shop in a rustic burlap bag for safekeeping.
$65 per student includes clay, tea, snacks and 6 ornaments.
