Take your ceramic pieces to the next step in this hands-on Ceramic Glazing Workshop! Designed for all skill levels, this class will introduce students to the Arts Center's studio glazes and teach techniques for creating a variety of colors, finishes, and surface effects.
Sarah will demonstrate proper glaze application and share tips for combining and layering glazes to achieve different results. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with glaze combinations and learn how factors such as application and layering can affect the final fired piece.
Each student should bring 2–3 of their own bisque-fired ceramic pieces to glaze during the workshop. This class is a great opportunity to learn more about the glazing process, experiment with new techniques, and gain confidence using the Arts Center's studio glazes.
Whether you're new to glazing or have some experience and want to better understand how different glazes work together, this workshop will give you the knowledge and hands-on practice to create more intentional results with your ceramic work.
Students must bring their own bisque-fired pieces. Pieces will be glaze-fired following the workshop and will be available for pickup once firing is complete.
