Bring a little bit of the natural world to life in clay! In this special guest artist workshop, students will create their own ceramic bird inspired by Linda’s love of nature and sculptural art.https://www.hisawyer.com/art-factory-studios/schedules/activity-set/2033280
Working with hand-building techniques, students will learn how to shape and sculpt their bird, adding details that bring its personality and character to life. Linda will share her approach to realistic sculpture while guiding students through the process from a simple form to a finished piece.
What makes this workshop especially unique is Linda’s distinctive matte finish. Rather than the glossy glazes commonly seen on ceramic pieces, students will experience a different approach to finishing their work, creating a soft, natural look that beautifully complements the realistic style of the birds.
No previous ceramics experience is necessary. Just bring your imagination and an appreciation for our feathered friends!
