The Central Virginia Planning District Commission (CVPDC), in collaboration with supporting partners, will host the Central Virginia Regional Housing Policy Workshop, a specialized training geared towards understanding recently enacted housing policies and new policy ideas shaping housing affordability and supply in our region, on October 28, 2026. You are invited to join fellow stakeholders and housing advocates from across the region to understand how local policies and practices impact housing development in our region, as well as to understand the recently passed housing bills in Virginia. The workshop will provide a practical, solutions-oriented approach to identifying and removing barriers to housing development and affordability in Central Virginia. This event will be valuable to elected officials, locality administration, planning departments and commissioners, zoning officials, utility directors, economic development staff, housing advocates, and developers as we explore actionable solutions essential to strengthening the local housing ecosystem.
