Children & Youth Day, taking place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, will showcase the creativity, energy, and entrepreneurial spirit of young people from across the region. The day features:• More than 250 youth artists (ages 8–18) selling their original creations at the Children & Youth Sidewalk Sale, gaining hands-on creative and entrepreneurial experience
• Kid-centered performances on both indoor and outdoor stages
• Engaging activities in Sidney Friedman Park and on Penn State’s Old Main Lawn
• A collaborative community art project that invites all to contribute
• The whimsical and beloved Giant Puppet Procession through downtown to close the day
