~Harmonize inner energies and experience collective radiance!~Join Suzie & Megan to invoke different aspects of the goddess for Navarātrī. Through the acts of chanting, reciting sacred prayers, invoking peace and prosperity, harmony and light, immersing ourselves in sound, and being in community, we invite spaciousness and a deep sense of well-being.
Kirtan is a non-performative call and response communal chanting experience, centering love and devotion. Sound waves and the sacred aspects of Sanskrit open the chanter to the powerful embodiment of sound itself, re-harmonizing energies in body, mind and spirit.
Kirtan melodies are intentionally simple and based on drones, like harmonium and tanpura, to allow the chanter and community to merge and settle deeply into the sacred current of sound and peace, bliss, and devotion.
The kirtan will be followed by a mini-sound bath for restoration and integration of the beautiful qualities just cultivated. Emerge with a clearer heart and a brighter mind.
Feel free to bring your favorite blanket and/or a meditation cushion. Mats, blankets and blocks provided.
