Celtic Knitting: Similar to Viking Knitting, this technique was developed by the Celts in the Iron Age and used well into the Middle Ages as a way to make chain mail which was worn underneath battlefield armour. It's still used in many different forms today and can be woven as thick or thin as you like, depending on the dowel and the number of stitches you use.
In this 2hr workshop, you will learn how to 'knit' a piece of handmade personalised jewellery on the end of a wooden spoon, expertly guided by your tutor June.
Come and join us for a workshop full of mindfulness, creativity and expression.
A perfect excuse to get together with friends, make new ones or even just take time for yourself, whilst learning a new skill and resurrecting old traditions.
£35 per person.
All materials and tuition are included and take home kits will be available to purchase on the night.
