Toronto book launch celebration for families! ✨ Crafts, dancing & a hedgehog meet-and-greet with author Justine Ramdas.
About this Event

Join author Justine Ramdas for an unforgettable afternoon of creativity, community, and celebration at the Today Is a New Day Kickstarter Celebration Party. This special event marks the launch of her children’s book, Today Is a New Day — a rhythmic, joyful story that helps kids build resilience, confidence, and trust in themselves.

Families will begin at Lazy Daisy Café, where Justine will share the heart behind the book and a reading of the book. From there, guests will rotate between two nearby spaces filled with engaging activities for all ages. At Lazy Daisy Café, guests will enjoy a live reading of Today Is a New Day with Justine Ramdas, a fun dance session for kids with Deb from Boogie Babies, a heartfelt parent talk titled Awakening Together with Annalisa Vicente, and an arts and crafts station for children.

At Enjoy The Process Art Studio, Cassidy will lead a hands-on craft session and guide families through a creative scavenger hunt adventure. Guests will also have the chance to meet a real hedgehog from Spiky Potatoes, adding an extra spark of fun and curiosity for kids and adults alike.

To close the day, everyone will gather back at Lazy Daisy Café to celebrate together, take a group photo, and enjoy light refreshments. Guests can share their creations, connect with other families, and learn how to support the Kickstarter campaign, helping bring Today Is a New Day to life for children everywhere.

This family-centred celebration is filled with fun, creativity, and connection. It’s a joyful way to support a local author’s mission to inspire confidence and self-trust in young readers — and a magical afternoon your family won’t want to miss.

Tickets are $28 Adult | $10 Child | $70 Family (up to 4).
