Please join us as we celebrate the life of T.A. Lanphere, a life gone too soon. Born as Trisha Ann, affectionately known as "Trish" to family and friends, she grew up with an adventurous heart, boundless energy, and a passion for athletics. Trish was a gifted soccer and fast pitch player whose talent, determination, and competitive spirit made her a standout athlete from a young age and through her time at Gig Harbor High School where she lettered in both sports teams several times over. Whether on the field, outdoors with friends, or embarking on a new adventure, she approached life with enthusiasm and a contagious smile that could brighten any room.
Trish attended Central Washington University, where she embraced every opportunity college life had to offer. She enjoyed playing rugby, forming lifelong friendships, and creating countless memories filled with laughter, camaraderie, and adventure. She was the kind of friend everyone wanted by their side: loyal, fun-loving, spontaneous, and always ready for whatever came next.
Following college, Trish pursued a nursing degree, beginning a path dedicated to helping others. Trish went on to build an extraordinary career as a Registered Nurse. She was deeply respected by colleagues and beloved by patients for her compassion, knowledge, and commitment to excellence. Trish was a natural mentor who trained and inspired countless healthcare professionals. Her dedication to nursing was recognized through the prestigious DAISY Award, an honor that reflected the profound impact she made on the lives of those she cared for and worked alongside.
Beyond professional accomplishments, Trish had a passion for life that was impossible to miss. A devoted Jeep enthusiast who proudly owned several Jeeps throughout the years. For Trish, a Jeep represented more than transportation; it symbolized freedom, adventure, and the promise of the next journey waiting to be discovered.
A lifelong fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Trish rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on this team. She attended many games with family and friends and was known for providing enthusiastic play-by-play commentary to anyone within earshot. On game days, friends and loved ones could always count on receiving texts filled with excitement, analysis, celebration, and occasionally a little frustration. Watching the Seahawks simply wasn't the same without her running commentary.
Of all the loves in Trish's life, perhaps none was greater than her beloved dog, Lady Ann. Trish often referred to her as an "Angel in a Dog's Body," a phrase that perfectly captured the special bond they shared. Lady Ann was a constant companion, faithful friend, and source of unconditional love and comfort.
During the next chapter of life, she also made the courageous personal decision to become who he authentically felt he was. Embracing his true identity, Tyler Andrew Lanphere stepped forward with the same strength, determination, and heart that had defined him throughout his life.
Tyler will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for the way he made people feel. He had a gift for bringing others together, lifting spirits, and creating joy wherever he went. His kindness, humor, authenticity, and adventurous soul left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
As we grieve this sudden loss, we hold tightly to the memories Tyler gave us: the laughter, the adventures, the game-day texts, the Jeep rides, the compassion he showed to others, and above all, that contagious smile we will never forget.
Though Tyler's time with us was far too short, his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He taught us the importance of living authentically, loving deeply, and embracing life with courage and enthusiasm.
Tyler Andrew Lanphere will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. His spirit remains with us in every adventure, every act of kindness, and every smile shared in his honor.
