Celebrating the Life of Derrek Lowell Bagby
Please join us on September 26 at 9:00 AM as we come together at the beach to honor and celebrate Derrek’s life.
We will begin the morning with a paddle out in his memory, followed by time on the beach to share stories, memories, and the moments that made Derrek so special to all of us.
8:30 AM — Arrive & gather
9:00 AM — Paddle out
10:00 AM — Sharing memories & stories
Noon — Formal gathering concludes
Bring a beach chair, towel, or something comfortable to sit on, and please remember to hydrate and bring sunscreen.
If you have a paddleboard, surfboard, boat, or flotation device and would like to participate in the paddle out, please bring it along.
For those who aren’t able to be there in person, Joe Semkow has generously offered to videotape the celebration so that everyone who wants to be part of the morning can still share in it.
We hope you’ll join us as we gather together, remember Derrek, share a few stories, shed some tears, laugh at some memories, and celebrate the life of someone who meant so much to so many.
