Celebration of Life for Bonnie Mae RunyanSeptember 6, 1941 – September 24, 2026
Lord, please help Saint Peter as our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother arrives in heaven, carrying a matching outfit for Dad, a suitcase full of playing cards, and “Scripts for Life” pill bottles.
Born in Hartland, Michigan, Bonnie was the oldest of 10 children born to John and Ruth Graybeal. She milked cows before school and had the same bus driver all 12 grades of school.
Bonnie graduated from Hartland Schools in 1959 and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Charles Runyan. After Dad graduated Army boot camp, Mom joined him in Germany, where he was stationed. After deployment, they returned to Hartland, where Mom was the only mail carrier for the Hartland Post Office.
They moved to Howell in 1976, starting a family farm where they raised three sons.
Bonnie was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters, one brother, her husband, and her oldest son, “Big Dan.”
She is survived by two sons and a bonus daughter, their spouses, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mom attended Hidden Springs Church and volunteered at Love INC.
