Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life and legacy of Jack Conard, Jr.—a local legend, cherished friend, proud veteran, proud Virgo and unforgettable member of our community. Jack never met a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went, welcomed people from all walks of life, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. We invite family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and all whose lives were touched by Jack to join us as we share stories, memories, laughter, music, and fellowship in his honor.
Event Schedule
11:30 AM – Guest Arrival & Gathering
We kindly request that guests arrive by 11:30 AM and gather outside the venue prior to the start of the Military Honors Ceremony.
12:00 PM – United States Navy Military Honors Ceremony
A formal Military Honors Ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00 PM in recognition of Jack's service in the United States Navy. The ceremony will include military honors, a rifle salute, and the ceremonial folding and presentation of the American flag.
Out of respect for Jack, and the significance of this tribute, we respectfully request complete silence during the ceremony.

Guests will be welcomed inside the hall to find seating, visit with friends and family, and share memories.

12:30 PM – Memorial Remarks & Eulogy
David Hodson, President of the Board of Directors for the Cornelius History Museum, will deliver remarks and a eulogy honoring Jack's life and legacy.
1:00 PM – Food & Fellowship
Lunch will be served by Carburritos of Davidson. We are grateful for their support and encourage everyone to continue supporting our local businesses in memory of, Jack!
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Live Music Tribute
Several of Cornelius' finest local musicians will be performing throughout the afternoon to honor an old friend and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to our community.
Dress Code Theme: "Just Jack"
What does that mean? You tell us.
We invite guests to wear something that reminds them of Jack or a special memory they shared with him. Whether it's a favorite color, a band t-shirt, a boating hat, a sports team, a tie-dye shirt, or simply something that makes you think of Jack, we'd love to see the many different ways he touched the lives of those around him.
? Help Us Create a Living Tribute to Jack ?
As we gather to celebrate Jack's life, we invite everyone attending to bring a few printed photos—whether it's one, two, or ten! We will have a large photo collage board at the entrance where guests can add their favorite memories of Jack throughout the years.
We look forward to celebrating Jack's life together and sharing the stories, friendships, and memories that made him truly one of a kind.
Important Venue Notes:
• In accordance with venue policies, alcohol is strictly prohibited at this event. We respectfully ask all guests to honor and comply with this requirement.
• The venue has another event scheduled following ours and requires that we begin breakdown promptly at 4:00 PM. If you are available to stay afterward and assist with cleanup and breakdown, your help would be greatly appreciated.
