For many of you, this may be the first you’re hearing that we unexpectedly lost my dad, David Matway, a few weeks ago. We’ve been taking time as a family to process this loss while still trying to understand what happened. Even as we work through the unanswered questions, we want to bring together the people who knew and loved him to share memories and celebrate his life.If you knew my dad, you knew he was a simple man—incredibly reliable and always ready with a corny joke, followed by his boisterous laugh. So many of our memories over the years were made meeting at the bowling alley for a few games while he absolutely crushed all of us. It only feels fitting to celebrate his life at the same lanes he enjoyed so much.
We’ve rented out Dunedin Lanes on Sunday, November 15th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for friends and family to bowl a few games, share stories, and remember Dad in a way I know he would love.
Whether you join us on the lanes or simply come to visit and reminisce, we would love to have you there. Bring your favorite memories of Dad. Having the people who were part of his life together would mean so much to our family.
