Siawita’nej (Let’s All Continue Forward)Please join us for an afternoon to celebrate the continued cultural and language revitalization of L'sitkukewaq (the people of L'sitkuk/Bear River First Nation). The event will include film screenings, birchbark canoe installation, dance, song, storytelling, and Mi'kmaw language learning. Hosted by Rose Meuse, shalan joudry, and Jenna Melanson.
The event includes the WORLD PREMIERE screening of the documentary 'Kwitn: Canoe -- Where Stories Happen', by Clothesline Media.
We will also screen a short film about the Seven Paddles project.
There will be a donation box for contributions towards the L'sitkuk language initiatives.
