Celebrating Light: The Immersive LED Art of Janet Hansen showcases several forms of her illuminated work, including framed panels, textile-based wall hangings, and wearable LED fashion. Much of the work is sound reactive, with visual effects that range from softly meditative to uplifting and energizing.
The show also comes to life through a series of events. PORTAL, an immersive light and sound experience created with multidisciplinary artist Judy Berberian, surrounds guests with live sound and synchronized light. Three variations of the performance will be presented: ESSENCE on November 21, RADIANCE on December 19, and SOLSTICE on December 21. The Enlighted LED fashion show on December 12 brings the wearable work to life on the runway. Artist talks and Q&A sessions, held as part of several of the events, offer a chance to hear from Janet and Judy directly.
Timed for the shortest days of the year, the show offers a welcoming and glowing space to slow down, engage with the art, and recharge yourself. Visitors are welcome to drop in during regular gallery hours: Friday and Saturday, 12-5pm, and Sunday, 10am-2pm. Hours may vary on event days and holidays, so check the gallery’s Eventbrite page and Instagram (@covetartgallery) for updates.
