Decorate your bike for Halloween for this week's ride! We will be teaming up with Blue Bikes, and Bike Easy will be at our start spot (Walter Wolfman Washington Park) giving out free bike safety lights!Sarah (Katko) is leading and we will meet at the park across from Canseco's and then ride by there at the end for anyone who dropped their car off before we end the night at Pals.
Ride leaves Wolfman Park promptly at 8.
IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME RIDER: many of our regular riders roll up at the last minute, so don't feel worried about there not being a large gathering closer to 7:30. WE ALWAYS SHOW UP TO RIDE!
Thursday night rides are approximately 10 miles in distance and between 2 to 2.5 hours in duration. We have one or two stops during the ride, usually parks or bars.
***Rules of the Ride***
*The leader remains in front of the ride at all times.
*Be respectful to others AND of the rules of the road.
*Be proactive in keeping enough space between you and the bike
in front of you in case of an abrupt stop.
*Slower riders stay in the front of the ride to set the pace.
*Try to fill in gaps and keep the ride together.
*No littering
*If you imbibe, do so responsibly, as you are responsible for your own safety.
*There are risks associated with the use of any bicycle that cannot be predicted or avoided, and they are the sole responsibility of the rider.
