Get Ready for CAVEMODE 29!
We're very excited to announce our next CAVEMODE meeting! After a long hiatus, we're bringing it back to invigorate the community of animators, visual effects artists, and motion designers in Charlotte. We have a stellar lineup and a great location, and I hope that you'll make plans to join us.
Speakers:
Dan Giraldo - New Accent
Dan Giraldo is a director, VFX supervisor, and co-founder of New Accent, a hybrid production studio exploring the evolving intersection of live action, visual effects, post-production, and AI. Dan began his career as a visual effects artist, working at studios including Framestore, The Mill, and Method Studios across film, television, commercials, and title sequences. Over the course of his career, he has worked as a compositor, compositing supervisor, VFX supervisor, and creative director, giving him a hands-on understanding of both the technical and creative sides of post-production. He later expanded into directing, bringing that VFX background into live-action commercial filmmaking. Today, his work at New Accent brings those disciplines together, developing new production approaches that combine traditional filmmaking and visual effects with emerging AI tools. His focus is less on AI as a replacement for existing processes and more on how it can become another part of the filmmaker’s toolkit—reshaping how ideas move from concept through production and post.
Dee Manning - Luxpoint
Dee Manning has worked in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction field for over 20 years The last 10 years have focused on Laser Scanning and 3D Modelling. His passion for new technology has led him to explore Gaussian Splats and other methods for recreating existing spaces and places.

The River Place is the premiere video production space in the Charlotte area and the Carolinas. Containing one of the largest cyc walls in the region this is sure to be a great canvas for a large scale creative vision.
