A unique day-long celebration of poetry and visual art at Hamilton Gallery.
Saturday October 3rd
Themed on the poem by Moya Cannon, Carrying The Songs, was an exhibition by Irish and Dutch artists which premiered in Pulchri Studio The Hague, The Netherlands, July 2026.
A collaboration between Embassy of Ireland The Netherlands and Hamilton Gallery, the exhibition marked the launch of Irelands EU Presidency.
On Saturday October 3rd, to celebrate the Irish opening of Carrying The Songs, Hamilton Gallery is hosting a special celebration of poetry and visual art.
On the day we will host two intimate poetry readings with Moya Cannon in the gallery.
We will also present two screenings of the film St Brigid's Well: Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin in interview with Susan MacKay. Produced by Hamilton Gallery in partnership with Ireland’s Foreign Ministry, this film was created for the Lá Fhéile Bríde / St Brigid's Day global Irish Festival 2022. St Brigid's Well by Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin, a poem commissioned by Hamilton Gallery, provided the theme for our 2023 Lá Fhéile Bríde Exhibition, featuring work by 100 Irish women artists, which was also exhibited in Beijing 2024.
