CARPET BURN LIVE - LEE THOMAS!Carpet Burn returns to launch our Christmas season with a special night with Lee Thomas (2wo Third3)
The voice behind Top of the Pops hit 'I Want the World'. Lee fronted 2wo Third3, supported East 17 and played London Pride to 160,000, and returned to the stage in 2026 after 32 years away.
Lee was the frontman and voice of 2wo Third3, the electro pop group who arrived in 1994 managed by Tom Watkins, the man behind East 17 and Bros, and signed to Sony Music UK’s Epic label. Instantly recognisable by his trademark facial plaster, Lee led the group through four UK chart singles, with I Want the World reaching number 20 and I Want To Be Alone number 29, and performances on Top of the Pops, The Word, This Morning, Live and Kicking and the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party. He supported East 17 on the Around the World tour and performed at London Pride to a crowd of 160,000. In August 2026 Lee returned to the stage for the first time in 32 years at the RCT 90s Summer Party, reuniting with Terry from East 17 on a bill alongside Whigfield, Heather Small and Kenny Thomas. Alongside his live work he writes and produces as Maximus Tronic, with viral TikTok tracks and a number one on the Music Week Upfront Club Chart.
